Return, Refund & Exchange Policy

At Kafftan, we are committed to delivering high-quality fashion pieces that you'll love. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please review our Return, Refund & Exchange Policy below.


1. Return Window

We offer returns and exchanges within 7 days from the date of delivery.

To be eligible for a return or exchange:

  • The item must be unused, unworn, and unwashed.
  • All original tags, labels, packaging, and accessories must be intact.
  • The product must be free from stains, makeup marks, perfume, deodorant residue, body odor, pet hair, or any signs of wear.
  • The return request must be initiated within 7 days of delivery.
  • The item must pass our quality inspection upon receipt.

Returns requested after the 7-day period will not be accepted.


2. RFID Security Tag Policy

To ensure product authenticity and prevent return fraud, all Kafftan products are shipped with a tamper-proof RFID Security Tag attached.

Important:

  • The RFID tag must remain attached to the garment at all times until you decide to keep the product.
  • Do not remove, cut, tamper with, damage, or detach the RFID tag before deciding whether to return the item.

Non-Returnable Condition

Returns, exchanges, store credits, or refunds will NOT be approved if:

  • The RFID security tag has been removed.
  • The RFID security tag is cut, damaged, broken, altered, or detached.
  • The RFID security tag is missing from the returned product.

A product returned without its original RFID security tag will be considered used and ineligible for return, exchange, or store credit.


3. How to Request a Return

To initiate a return or exchange:

  1. Submit a return request through our Return Portal.
  2. Provide your order number and reason for return.
  3. Await approval from our Customer Support Team.
  4. Follow the return instructions provided after approval.

4. Return Inspection Process

All returned products undergo a detailed quality inspection upon arrival.

Kafftan reserves the right to reject returns if:

  • The product shows signs of wear or use.
  • The garment has been washed or dry cleaned.
  • Original tags are missing.
  • The RFID security tag is removed or damaged.
  • The item contains stains, odors, alterations, or damage.
  • The return request falls outside the return eligibility period.

The decision of our Quality Control Team regarding return eligibility shall be final.


5. Refund Policy

Store Credit Policy

We currently issue refunds in the form of Store Credit only.

Once your returned item:

  • Is received by our warehouse, and
  • Successfully passes our quality inspection,

you will receive Store Credit equivalent to the value of the returned item.

Store Credit Terms

  • Issued electronically via email.
  • Can be used on future purchases at Kafftan.
  • Cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • Cannot be transferred to another customer.
  • Cannot be exchanged for bank transfers or payment reversals.
  • Remains valid for 12 months from the date of issuance unless otherwise stated.

6. Exchange Policy

Eligible products may be exchanged for:

  • A different size
  • Another available product
  • Store Credit

All exchanges are subject to:

  • Product availability
  • Successful quality inspection
  • Compliance with this policy

If the requested replacement item is unavailable, Store Credit will be issued.


7. Non-Returnable & Non-Exchangeable Items

The following items are not eligible for returns, exchanges, or refunds:

Sale & Promotional Products

  • Sale items
  • Clearance products
  • End-of-season merchandise
  • Flash sale purchases
  • Products purchased using special promotional campaigns

Final Sale Products

Products specifically marked as:

  • "Final Sale"
  • "Non-Returnable"
  • "Clearance"

Other Non-Eligible Products

  • Gift cards
  • Customized or personalized products
  • Accessories (where applicable)
  • Products with removed RFID tags
  • Products returned in used condition

8. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Products

If you receive:

  • A damaged product
  • A defective product
  • An incorrect item

please notify us within 48 hours of delivery.

  • Order number
  • Clear photos of the product
  • Photos of packaging
  • Description of the issue

Our team will review your claim and provide an appropriate resolution.

Claims submitted after 48 hours may not be eligible for resolution.


9. International Orders

International Returns

International customers may request returns subject to the same eligibility requirements.

Return Shipping Costs

Unless the product is defective or incorrectly shipped, customers are responsible for:

  • Return shipping charges
  • Customs duties
  • Import/export fees
  • Brokerage fees

Customs & Duty Charges

Original customs duties, import taxes, VAT, tariffs, and government charges paid during importation are non-refundable by Kafftan.

Customers must contact their local customs authorities for any duty refund inquiries.


10. Order Cancellation Policy

Orders may only be cancelled before processing or dispatch.

Once an order has been:

  • Packed
  • Processed
  • Shipped

it can no longer be cancelled and must follow the return process outlined in this policy.


11. Shipping Charges

Domestic Orders

Original shipping charges, if any, are non-refundable.

International Orders

The following charges are non-refundable:

  • International shipping fees
  • Customs duties
  • Import taxes
  • VAT/GST
  • Tariffs
  • Brokerage fees

These amounts will not be included in any Store Credit or refund calculation.


12. Fraud Prevention

Kafftan reserves the right to:

  • Reject suspicious returns
  • Restrict future purchases
  • Refuse service
  • Cancel orders

where fraudulent activity, excessive return behavior, RFID tampering, chargeback abuse, or policy misuse is detected.
